Better late than never? Four years on from the start of the Covid pandemic, the CDC has finally dropped its five-day isolation rule. It now advises US citizens to treat Covid as they would the flu or other respiratory illnesses. In other words, go and live your lives.
Unfortunately, the news proved a little too much for some. Covidian-in-chief Eric Feigl-Ding declared that he was “devastated” by the announcement, describing it as “complete bullshit crafted on thin flimsy data.” Drawing a bizarre analogy with condoms, he proceeded to call on his nearly 800,000 subscribers to pick up the phone and lobby the CDC to change course. Perhaps Dr Feigl-Ding should spend some time away from his computer and go outside. Vitamin D provides excellent protection against Covid.
