The Italian village that dared defy Salvini

October 15, 2018

Ayesha Hazarika is joined by Melissa Benn, writer, campaigner and author of Life Lessons: The Case for a National Education Service, and UnHerd columnist James Bloodworth, to discuss their under-reported stories of the week.

Melissa wanted to talk about the Italian village of Riace, where the mayor has been put under house arrest for defying Italy’s hardline Interior Minister, Matteo Salvini; James highlighted Amazon’s pay-rise for its warehouse workers.

The panel also nominate their hero of the week, Monica Lewinsky, and their villains, millennials.
