UnHerd has the result of the Iowa Democratic Caucuses. The winner is… Donald Trump! That’s who benefits most from this complete and utter cock-up.
It is reported that an app designed to tally the results from individual caucus events taking place across the Hawkeye State crashed. Back-up procedures have clearly proven inadequate to the task, hence the delayed result.
In all likelihood, the self-declared socialist Bernie Sanders received the most votes, but the confusion allowed several candidates to give what sounded like victory speeches. Meanwhile, Joe Biden (the establishment candidate) who probably did quite badly in Iowa, has been able to avoid giving a loser’s speech.
The most significant statement of the night, however, comes from the Trump campaign:

When the Democrats actually get round to issuing some numbers, this blog will be updated. But for now, UnHerd’s unbiased advice to those trying to prevent a Trump second term is this: try being massively more competent.
