KiwiFarms, for all its faults, was good at documenting the excesses of the trans lobby, and the fact that the Internet Archive has now scrubbed all traces of that from the internet is not good news.

It was good at documenting excesses in general, while it committed many of its own.

Kiwifarms was destroyed because it collated evidence of Sorrentini’s various previous escapades, like sending homemade HRT and hormones to children through the mail and sending small children that transitioned collars to mark them entering Sorrentini’s ‘tomgirl harem’ on the Discord app.
For such a supposedly marginalised group the trans lobby sure do seem to have a lot of power. It took mass-shootings to bring down other Cloudflare-backed sites. All it took to bring down Kiwifarms was a false flag post on 4chan’s politically incorrect board and a few angry tweets.

The site had evidence of bad behaviour by lots of people, Taylor Lorenz included, so there was considerable weight behind the push to shut it down. What has been left out of, or minimised in, all the reporting is that KF didn’t discriminate left or right, it had plenty of threads compiling the misdeeds and poking fun at far-right Internet personalities.

Makes me think of the cyberpunk novels by William Gibson among others.

This Sorrentini character is ruthless. I don’t buy the conceit that their life was in danger for a moment.

It’s CloudfLare (rather important keyword here).
