“One reason might be that conservatism is a strange alliance between some very high and low IQ people, while liberalism tends to attract more people in-between.” – So, we should understand by these words that liberals have a monopoly on intelligence? There are TONS of examples of liberals and Leftists behaving in ways that would prove you 100% wrong.

“that tribal leader is a narcissistic sociopath who’s dangerously unsuited to the position.”
Well, that’s a very balanced and impartial view we should all trust. Well done!

Agreed but one would hope opinion was better informed.

“that tribal leader is a narcissistic sociopath who’s dangerously unsuited to the position.”

You mean a politician? Especially an American one.

But, of course, it is de riguer to only mention that in regard
to Trump. It can get awfully boring reading the ritual oblations of commentators this side of the pond sticking to the required views of their herd.

Interesting the early reports of what we now know as Covid 19 appeared in the UK in the Grauniad and were discounted by mainstream media.
Discussions with friends in the US showed these originated in the Western Journal https://www.westernjournal….

Now why were they not flagged earlier? Possibly because the UK Media is avowedly Anti trump even to the detriment of the UK?

Even now there is a peevish delight in Boris having succumbed to the virus.

The UK media is too ready to whip up hysteria and has not investigated the efforts being made to counter the virus.

Clever leftist journalists seem very sure about how not to treat coronavirus:

“No, These Medicines Cannot Cure Coronavirus” (NYT 24/3)
“Trump touted hydroxychloroquine as a cure for Covid-19. Don’t believe the hype” (Guardian 28/3).
But weirdo doctors on the frontline seem to disagree:
“Hydroxychloroquine is the ‘most effective therapy’ for coronavirus treatment: A global survey of over 6,000 doctors shows”.

I’ll never trust weirdo doctors.

It is entirely typical of today’s media class that they describe intelligent people possessed of foresight as ‘weirdos’. And they wonder why so few of us are prepared to pay for their ‘content’.
