Of course if we have nothing to hide (we behave perfectly, 100% of the time) and if those surveilling us are also as pure as the driven snow, we have nothing to fear.. do you want to rely on those IFs? I don’t! We all screw up occasionally and those with our data are liable to have sinister agendas so yes, we must oppose this everywhere and always as far as we can. It’s a bit scary to hear “there’s nothing we can do”! Of course we can. Whenever we learn a given supermarket is using such technology we can boycott it and even picket it.. and we still have some clout in dealing with lical and national govts.
