Many of today’s ‘Tory Voters’ in Leave seats were yesterday’s Labour voters. They may have changed allegiance but not ideology.

Not sure the poll reveals what we did not know, which is Labour voters traditionally want more money taken from the ‘rich’ to be spent on them, and former Labour voters are in areas of high unemployment more concerned about the competition for jobs and local resources low-skilled immigration brings.

So another folder to be placed in Sherlock’s filing cabinet perhaps.

What the bleeding obvious that this states, is that this Tory government needs to govern for the great majority of this country, who are not business leaders, wealthy property owners, or members of the remain voting elites, as indeed they always should have. If you do not look after the majority you can hardly expect to be able to form a government. It’s the way you decide to look after that majority that makes you Tory or Labour. For too long all the political parties have managed to effectively ignore the majority, and focus on a vocal, prosperous, and mostly southern elite.
