This is no different than allowing oil and chemical companies to write environmental laws. The hypocrisy on the left is blindingly nauseating.

So how would the critics reframe this thorny issue, in specific legislative terms? Some positive suggestions from critics wouldn’t go amiss. We can all criticise.
I’ll readily admit, i don’t know the answers but those who have greater insight into the technology and who’ve studied these curtailing of freedoms (both actual and potential) should put together their own ideas for how to navigate the shark-filled online waters.

Why is legislation needed at all? All that is needed is to make the social media companies enforce their terms and conditions that preclude children having accounts.

Be careful commenters. Both online archeology and retrospective legislation are a thing.

Apparently U.S. Civil War re-enactment societies often contain white supremacists, whereas such clubs in the U.K. re-enacting our Civil War such as the Sealed Knot do not (as far as we know!) American social media companies do not understand the difference and could censor our societies’ harmless activities.
