I still really like David Tennant, but unless he’s actually acting as a character and reading from a script, I desperately don’t want to know want he thinks about issues. More knowledge will only further tarnish his once stellar image in my brain.
As for critising Kemi’s use of ‘white male’ as a pejorative…. really? It is obvious that it’s a case of using your opponent’s own rhetoric against them to highlight their own hypocrisy. It is doubtful she would have been on record as being so vociferously against Critical Race Theory in public education if she agreed even partially with its central tenant of ‘White, Male, & Rich = Pure Evil’. If Unherd had emojis there would be SO many eyeroll faces here right now.
Tennant probably doesn’t believe any of the Stonewall gibberish any more than Kemi. He just knows what’s good for his career.

On this one, I suspect Kemi is merely pointing out that David Tennant, the clown, is breaking one of the iron laws of his own political tribe.
Kemi isn’t bound by the silly rules of identitarianism because she’s not Progressive, only Tennant is bound by them. Kemi is therefore just cleverly playing the game of forcing a political adversary to live by the same rules he wants to impose on everyone else.
Yes, I am sure that Kemi saying “white male” is a very deliberate thumb in the eye for lefties and she knows it.
I do try with GB News, but they really struggle for smart takes.
If you read what she said, you’ll note that she’s explicitly playing the race card in her X/tweet. Her behaviour is no different from those on the left who condemn people purely for their accident of birth in being born white and male and for their success in life.
She had a valid point to make here.
Unfortunately, she missed an open goal and dragged herself down to the level of the label-slingers of identity politics and the left.
Not impressed.
She’s explicitly playing the race card in the same way that the Progressive left plays it, and that’s her point. It emphasises Tennant’s hypocrisy. You are simply failing to appreciate the implications of what she’s doing.

The fact that he hides behind a pseudonym is a good reason to mistrust him.
Anyone who watched the George Floyd video knows that his death was at worst a tragic accident. Once the media starts lying as a matter of course and without even pretending to be objective, as do the American media, there’s no way back.

I’d argue that Kemi was playing by Tennant’s rules. It wasn’t a dig at ‘white males’ in general.
She’s explicitly playing the race card in the same way that the Progressive left plays it, and that’s her point. It emphasises Tennant’s hypocrisy. You are simply failing to appreciate the implications of what she’s doing.
She should be better than that.
