Hypocrisy is what politicians of all parties and beliefs do. Something similar has just happened with a left wing, male MEP from Sweden who had been living with another man for six months. Nothing wrong with that, except that the man he was living with had just finished a jail sentence for the multiple rape of minors, and the possession of child porn etc. The mainstream Swedish press didn’t talk about it until they were forced to.
I made the following observation and it was removed by Unherd for reasons unknown to me, so I’ll reinstate it: “A bit like Joe Biden and Clinton corruption ignored by the US media (and the BBC)”

A bit desperate. Does the Charlie Elphick scandal expose the failings of the Conservative Party, the Keith Vaz scandal expose those of the Labour Party, the Mark Oaten scandal expose those of the Lib Dems?
