I much admire your pieces on current German politics. But just one small correction. Freisler didn’t attend the Wannsee conference and the Final Solution wasn’t ‘agreed upon’ at that conference. See Peter Longerich’s recent book Wannsee.
He’ll probably get more opposition from the Vatican than he does in Parliament.

Fair enough. I’m shocked that the bloke clearly allies himself with real life wartime Nazis and has a senior position in a German political party.
Didn’t the Centre Party hand power to the Nazis by voting through the enabling bill? They wouldn’t get my vote for sure
