I hope they keep it as it is. These differences – no speed limit in Germany, smoking weed in the Netherlands, children drinking wine in France – is what makes travelling worthwhile. If it’s Basingstoke everywhere, why bother?

AIUI there’s no speed limit except as described, but your insurance company may reduce or decline to pay out if you are in an accident and were driving too fast.

I will mention that “AA” to me means “Alcoholics Anonymous”. In Canada, it’s the CAA if you are talking about the Automobile Association.
Ironic that drinking and driving associations have similar acronyms.
