This is exactly the point. Nothing in the article mentions the 60 years of US sanctions against Cuba. If you need to strangle a Socialist system with economic warfare, then it isn’t Socialism that is failing, but the US Corporate empire that is afraid of it thriving. As Noam Chomsky says, the US cannot allow there to be a good example, else others might follow.
