TikTok is a threat to America.
Musk is a threat to the Democratic Party.
Biden is protecting that which is most important to him.

Biden is doing what he’s being told to do. His grasp of comms is tenuous at best, and his opinion on it worthless. We need to know who’s pulling his strings.

How true! He’s a Democrat first and an American second. America First, is what I say! 😉

Good analysis of TikTok. As I’m sure the author knows, however, Biden’s comments were almost certainly motivated by politics, not by an understanding of threats posed by social media.

As Tristan Haris has mentioned, TikTok is like a reverse opium war – the ccp understands fully the damage these platforms can do, and they limit how much their citizens can use them accordingly.

It is beyond me why Tik Tok isn’t banned in the West.

It’s a bit concerning how little you hear about China in our public discourse. They are clearly a major threat. I suspect it’s because our biggest corporations are compromised on that issue, and therefore try to deflect attention off in other directions.

If you think Biden cares about national security you got it all wrong. He cares about what a free speech Twitter will do to the Dem party and their masters.
