To the woke, discernment is discrimination and boundaries are oppression.

There is, I think, a much simpler explanation than “woke” parents suddenly realizing the corruption of their daughter by a questionable adult and the danger of their woke-ness. It might be: parents realizing the chances for a handsome payoff from a well healed celebrity will be gone once their daughter hits 21. If, after almost 6 years of grooming by said celebrity, these parents are only just now deciding to take legal action, I might think this was taking advantage of a fast disappearing opportunity for a shake-down.

To be honest, I think the “woke parents coming to their senses” explanation is simpler.

I think a much simpler explanation is. A Dr and a Lawyer were blindsided by a man they welcomed into their lives. His status was of no significant meaning in this. They aren’t naive people by any means. They are not as you say after moneyou! That is a typical and disgusting insinuation. Lakota Peoples Law project. Google it, Chase Iron eyes is not as you say after the money. WOW.

So he’s just a terrible, terrible parent ? That’s ok then.

Modernity encapsulated in a single situation. “If you want a vision of the future, imagine a queer polyamorous white liberal drug addict raping a native social justice child activist – forever.”

Why did the parents wait for them to be 18 to involve legal authorities??? If this had happened to my daughter at 12 yrs old I would have put a stop to it then… Not wait 6 years

I don’t know any of the people mentioned and I am not sure I even understand what is (allegedly) going on here.

I’ve never heard of any of these people either, but I’m quite sure what’s ‘going on here’!

Ezra Miller played The Flash in the Justice League movie (and was quite good, IMO). I’m sorry to learn he’s such a freak.

Presumably he took the part because he thought he was playing a flasher.

I’d like to see a more comprehensive article in the main section of Unherd.

It is probably more likely that the parents were star struck. After all it was parents who allowed their young boys to spend the night with Michael Jackson at Neverland.

No they are NOT.
DR Sara Jumping Eagle, paediatricIan, child protection etc, her husband, Lawyer Chase Iron eyes, of Lakota Peoples Law project, advocates lawyers for return of the illegally removed, children of Native American, Lakota, Dakota, Nakota children, who are fostered into non native adoptions removed across states far from home family tribes ,illegally uplifted by cHilda protection falsely accused parents and caregivers, etc!illegal under the ICWA He fights for that !These are NOT woke people to blame. They are professionals with a child who was groomed over 9 years right in front of them. Like any parent they were blindsided. Takota and many of her peers all of her peers among her people live daily with the danger of losing freinds Sisters Brothers Aunts Mothers, to abduction trafficking murder and rape. MMIW and boys.it happens to them on a DAILY basis. These kids are taught drilled on the danger of MEN like EZRA prowling , Only they come in trucks and man camps and bars and shopping centres and troll along reservation roads and literally grab them in plain sight! Educate yourselves America and Canada, FIGHT to end this MMIW epidemic. No they weren’t being woke !they were being good people, kind people who like the rest of us would and do, trusted a young guy and an innocent friendship with their daughter. I think you owe them and apology for this. It is totally incorrect and cruel. These are very distraught terrified anxious parents. To lay blame, to insinuate wokeness on their part as the reason their daughter was groomed, coerced, manipulated and taken from them and their guidance, as she journeys into adulthood is disgusting cruel and unbelievable. You are blatantly Victim blaming. Ezra Miller IS A CHILD PREDATOR. STOP HIM. He is 100%to blame.

A lot of people struggle to accept that adults are groomed alongside their children. Jimmy Savile effectively groomed an entire nation. It’s an uncomfortable reality, that we could all be that person being manipulated by a predator to gain access to our children.

No he did not. He deceived only a few near to him, the rest of the nation was not privy to his personal life. Others recognized and spoke up, but British libel laws prevented public awareness. However, people in the British entertainment industry were aware and tolerated his behavior. Sound familiar?

“… kind people who like the rest of us would and do, trusted a young guy and an innocent friendship with their daughter.”
Oh, I”m sure they were blindsided. The glaring question is: What blinded them to seeing their young daughter travel with Ezra (see pictures, read statements) and thinking that was innocent? Further, why would you characterize this relationship as “innocent”?
Regarding “victim blaming”, parents are responsible for their children. The victim is the child. The parents are responsible for her care. Instead, they entrusted her to Ezra Miller. They are responsible, they are culpable.
