No, to ‘save granny’ it is likely the West has lost the war by destroying our economy, paying people at home wages to not work, and then buying all the goods and services not produced with borrowed money from Chinese workers – who never stopped production for such a thing as covid.
It is almost certain the covid response by the West will result in magnitudes more misery than if we just used common sense and kept going. The politicos who ran this all act as we just sacrificed to do the right thing, it is very possible we sold our nation’s and children’s future as well. By 2023 we will know if we just committed the greatest act of self harm a people have ever done to themselves. It may all be fine, but I am not very confident.
