I worked with one of the very first transitioned people in the UK – now a pensioner – she was sad, anxious, and regretful. She did not feel natural, and felt that she’d been let down and mislead by the surgeon’s ambition and false promises. No doubt, the heaviness of such stories (the shame), along with the Mermaid thought police, prevent such outcomes being known.
It’s always difficult to know how many people regret what they have done, especially if they pushed hard for it. People rarely like to admit that they were wrong in their decisions, and in particular, in the case of transitioning, they do not want to be castigated by those who, just a short time ago, were their cheer-leaders. It is probably very hard, too, to accept what they have done to themselves, it is so awful that they need to keep telling themselves that it was all for the best – keep saying “I am happy” and then perhaps it will come true. If more support were available for those wishing to de-transition, then perhaps more would pop their heads above the parapit.

So if my stick thin 12 year old daughter tells me she is fat, I must help her starve herself to death.

Fundamental to the oxymoronish practice of so-called ‘gender affirming care’ is the conviction that gender-transition is actually real.
It is not.
One sex cannot ever…in any way at all…become the other sex. Men cannot become women, nor women, men. Transition is and always will be impossible.

One thing I’d add is that the fetishization of tampons extends to them taking used ones out of sanitary bins and doing all sorts of things with them. Even Jan Morris (formerly James) acknowledges that describing the procedures that he/she went through as a ‘sex change’ is simply a convenient ‘shorthand’, and says that no-one has ever changed from being ‘a true man’ to being ‘a true woman’. It is shocking, and mystifying, that a dangerous delusion has been accepted and promoted by powerful people and organisations.

I am so irritated by the continued use of the term “sex-change” when this is impossible, even by authors apparently on the side of reality. Sex is biological and unchangeable in mammals and birds. Gender-affirming makes more sense when describing the mutilation of healthy bodies in the pursuit of a delusion.
