What real reporting looks like: @iciradiocanada investigative team sends a 14-yr-old actress to a Quebec clinic. She claimed she was trans & got a testosterone prescription in 10 minutes. (This is the French arm of CBC. English CBC wouldn’t dare run this)

Not only is Canada home to the world’s most permissive euthanasia regime, that title may stretch to gender too. A new investigation by Radio Canada, branch of Canada’s state broadcaster, the CBC, details a shocking account of how little scrutiny young people face before transitioning. Radio Canada explains how it sent a 14-year-old actress to a Quebec clinic where she told doctors that she was trans. Within 10 minutes, she was able to secure a testosterone prescription.
Will this report lead to any changes in the industry? Don’t hold your breath, warns Quilette’s Jonathan Kay. The fact that this investigation came out of the French-speaking arm of the CBC and not the English-speaking counterpart is telling enough. “English CBC wouldn’t dare run this,” he tweeted. Would the BBC?
