An infectious diseases professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine has launched a stinging rebuke of doctors and the scientific community, claiming that they have been “part of the conspiracy theories” on vaccines. At a Davos event with Dr Anthony Fauci and Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel, Prof. Annelies Wilder-Smith argued that medical schools are contributing to vaccine disinformation. Asked about whether she would like to include vaccine education in schools to try and curb misinformation, the professor responded:
It is unclear which conspiracies Wilder-Smith is referring to, but there is growing political controversy around vaccine mandates for doctors and healthcare workers. Currently around 6% of doctors are unvaccinated (with a further 41,000 who have only had one jab) — they have until April to get vaccinated in order to work at the NHS. According to King’s College hospital chief Clive Kay, this figure is closer to 10% at his hospital. In an interview with UnHerd, KCH consultant Steve James said:
It’s unclear if Professor Wilder-Smith had Dr James in mind, but whether his chosen course of action would have been any different if he was “educated” by Wilder-Smith, remains to be seen.

SubscribeIt would be good if she could expand on the nature of the conspiracies and the misinformation. Regarding the misinformation, is it that put forward by engaged professionals such as Dr. Robert Malone, Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche or Dr. Robert Martin?They’re in general highly qualified in their fields relevant to the vaccine issue and their theories put forward tend to be miscredited or dismissed out of hand without serious reviews or responses.Or is it the misinformation put out by modellers, research and academic figures in the pockets of Big Pharma, spokepersons on public health uttering generalised and sweeping statements on vaccine saftey without any details? Or sweeping the side effects and statistics on these under the carpet? Or the politicians and public health experts issuing totally meaningless recommendations and measures for combatting the pandemic such as face coverings, lockdowns and statements such as “the vaccine will give good protection against Omicron” when most intelligent people have by now realised that this is highly debateable and categoric BS?

Moderna’s CEO, Stéphane Bancel, also talks about developing an annual booster vaccine that provides protection against Corona and other seasonal flu, so the public doesn’t have to get vaccinated every three months. I suspect that they have achieved their goal of having the entire planet vaccinated annually.
I would suggest that the good Dr. Wilder-Smith have not only her Professorship at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine taken away, but her GMC license to practice as well, as she is guilty of gross misconduct and misrepresentation. I’m sorry to say it but it is she who needs to be educated, not other doctors who are capable of thinking for themselves. Here is the thing, Prof. Wilder-Smith and some questions you ought to answer (if she reads any comments or articles on Unherd): (1) Just how safe are the current mRNA and DNA Covid vaccines relative to other vaccines in common use? Prof. Wilder-Smith knows full well that the safety profile of the current crop of COVID vaccines is not that good and orders of magnitude worse than that of other vaccines in common usage. If it weren’t for COVID these vaccines would have been taken off the market a long time ago, just as the swine flu vaccine was after only 35 deaths (as opposed to some 20,000 already reported in the VAERS database and more than 1500 in the UK). (2) How effective are the current vaccines at preventing infection and transmission? Well they may have been effective for a short period of time (about 6 months) against the original virus but not against the various variant strains. To wit, there are now many examples in the public domain of prominent triply vaccinated individuals, and especially a number of US senators and congressmen/congresswomen who have been infected despite being boosted. Clearly the current data from the UKHSA indicate that the current crop of vaccines do not prevent infection or transmission, and, further, the viral load is just as large in the infected vaccinated as in the infected unvaccinated. That alone would indicate that the choice to be vaccinated is purely a personal one as it has absolutely no impact on the community in terms of transmission and spread. (3) How effective are the current crop of vaccines in preventing serious illness, hospitalization and death? It is claimed that they were, at least for a few months following the second shot, but just how true that really is is anybody’s guess given how the statistics and data have been so corrupted (deaths with versus deaths from, presence vs absence of comorbidities, etc…). So my conclusion is that Prof. Wilder-Smith would do well to go back and actually study vaccinology 101 as well as medical bioethics 101, and take a very very serious look at the high incidence (for any vaccine) of serious adverse reactions, as well as the very significant (40%) recently reported increase in the death rate from the age group spanning 10-40. If she fails to do so, I would conclude that she and her ilk are guilty of carrying out mass human experimentation without proper authorization and are therefore guilty of crimes against humanity; and that’s especially so when advocating vaccination of small children and teenagers who are at virtually at zero risk of any untoward consequences of a COVID infection but are in the group most affected by adverse reactions.

The article I read was from the CEO of an insurance firm talking about an analysis of its business showing a 40% increase in all-cause mortality of that age group and the impact on things like premiums. Covid only represented a small proportion of the increase.
Just what US insurance companies in the mid-west have been reporting. It is now being investigated but clearly something is going on. Sorry I don’t have a link off-hand but it’s easy enough to search for articles on this phenomenon.

No, no conspiracy there… (the fact that virtually everyone in Power who pushed vax owns Pfizer and Moderna stock is just happenstance….)
Has Prof Wilder-Smith really been oblivious for two years of the thousands of dissenting doctors and scientists? Does she know that she is sitting at the same table as one of the most vilified public medical scientists of all time? He who has been exposed as having flip-flopped, lied on a monstrous scale, manipulated and mislead – all the while pulling in huge quantities of money. Does she not know about the emails he wrote (if one cannot suggest reading the book recently written).
As for the Moderna CEO, she will escape the main wrath of commentators simply because she is sitting with ‘evil incarnate’.

If we need “education”, perhaps some old fashioned religious education would be in order, because it’s the collapse of organized religion in the west which has brought us to this state of mass hysteria. There’s a phrase which has, sadly, fallen out of use these days which people would do well to reacquaint themselves with — sub specie aeternitatis; literally, under the aspect of eternity. It is a state which comes naturally to the religious, which is why people like me are not cleaning our our shorts every night with a shovel, not over what is now essentially a seasonal cold. From there, you start studying things like proportion and fortitude, and who knows, after that, maybe you’ll put off that suicide you were planning when you ran out of prosecco. When we’re seriously fixing to fire doctors in an already overstretched health service because of something as minor as this, the trouble doesn’t lie in science, it lies in the philosophy which underpins the science. It’s the wrong philosophy, and from it you will get the wrong science.

I read your Guardian link, it reminded me well how creepy the Guardian people are. So was the cancer patient a smoker? Someone who never got their colonoscopy? Someone who never had that odd looking mole checked out?
Being Guardian, and their kind, I suppose the ideal is patient records give a “Medical Record Score”. Are you overweight? Out of shape? Eat too much meat? Drink cheap booze? Vote Tory? Not gotten your health screenings on time?
Maybe every hospital has a Vegan Pilates Yoga ward where they get everything first, no expense spared, and going down to the unvaccinated, fat, out of shape, never bothered to take their meds or get checked out ward – where they sleep on concrete and the bodies collected in the morning.
Ethics Guardian Style. (Unless they are a protected minority – they they get to jump even the Vegan’s que.)
