I somehow doubt that Biden has the faintest idea why he is going to Michigan – or even where it is. How long are the Democrats going to allow this farce to continue?

Some chaps here seem to be suffering from a bout of ‘sense of humour failure’!

Right now he doesn’t even know who Biden is.

Given Biden’s recent polling issues – WaPo/ABC poll over the weekend had Trump up 9 points (NINE POINTS) against Biden – Biden’s team are coming to realize that, oops! An election win against Trump isn’t a foregone conclusion.
People don’t like Biden. People don’t like Bidenomics. People don’t like Trump. People did like the Trump economy prior to covid.
The Democrats have got the heebie jeebies. Biden is clearly incompetent and the ‘Uncle Joe’ schtick doesn’t work anymore. He is a nasty, corrupt old man who shouldn’t be where he is. And who is waiting in the wings should the Democrats be unable to continue propping him up? Kamala Harris, who possibly the most disliked and useless VP in history.
Hence, Newsom will be at the GOP debate on Wednesday to refute Republican talking points afterwards. He will also debate DeSantis on Fox in November.
Interesting times.

“The Administration is forcing the automakers that employ UAW workers to plunge into vehicle electrification and battery systems far more quickly than they would like to — and using its new industrial policy to push heavily incentivised EV nameplates into the marketplace at a much faster pace than American consumers are demanding them. In other words, the Biden that will visit Michigan today to demonstrate “solidarity” with the UAW strikers is the very same Biden who is using US taxpayer funds to undercut their future in a very severe way.”

This assessment highly underappreciates how much citizens feel liberated by State command economies. It’s not that American consumers don’t want EVs, its that they don’t know they want them yet. Maybe a little more nudging is needed to let citizens know a good person would enthusiastically buy an unnecessary product if doing so supports a State ambition.

He is an ally only of the People’s Republic of China. His inflationary and corporatist legislation actually subsidising imports of Chinese green technology. The EU should wage a wide-spanning trade war against the US while the Democrats remain in office.
