The 2 organisations that make my wife and I feel I’ll are the BMA and the BBC. Nagpaul of BMA is the only trade union leader who undermines the government’s effort to defeat the coronavirus rather than support it. His doom-filled interview on the survey of PPE the BMA carried out is the most extreme interpretation possible — nothing like what a proper researcher would conclude. The BBC almost joyfully report his rants, another example of Auntie’s transformation to an anti-force. My wife likens BBC reporting standard to a pathetic dog continiously gnawing on a bone hoping to find something that isn’t there. She is dead right.

Just stop listening to the news! It makes us all feel ill. Maybe check in once a day. Play music, watch favourite shows or DVD’s if you have nothing more constructive to do. Leave your flipping phone alone! But then I’m over 70 & find that easy…..

I think the technical term is hypochondria, isn’t it? My suggestion would be to go for a walk in the sunshine and look out, not in

This is what faith is good for (leaving aside issues of theology). If this earthly life is all we have, then we will be more prone to anxiety about the threats of disease, disability, and death. If what may happen to us is random and meaningless, we will have many horrors. Jesus to his followers just before his crucifixion: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” (John 14:27)

If you hadn’t been in so much pain…physically and mentally, I would have thought that this article was very funny. Actually, I did kind of laugh. I’m sorry. Yes, things look dark right now, but we’ll get through it. and we will have learned a lot.

It gets more light hearted…! Really? OK so you spend all your time thinking about yourself, why not try a job that has some meaning. I just wonder who pays writers to write claptrap.
