Women are very often coerced and are usually paid nothing at all for it beyond the shattered dreams, pregnancy fears or perhaps the unproductive close of their fertile years. In a world where consent must be ‘enthusiastically given’, perhaps it’s time to examine the politics of consent and dial down on what genuine consent really looks like for both men and women. In the murky world of sexual exchange, perhaps in some cases simply paying for it is the most honest approach??
