SubscribeVery interesting discussion. The one question I haven’t seen anyone address is whether DOGE was ever meant to be a serious, even real, organization, or whether it was never more than a marketing exercise for the benefit of the MAGA base?
Perhaps Ramaswamy’s exit is part of Trump answering that question because if Musk eventually departs there will be no DOGE.
No one has addressed it because it’s not a genuine question. Just as yours is not a genuine comment.
No one at DOGE has any power so it is not a serious organization, though it does of course exist. It’s like a think tank that can make recommendations to people who have real power, but Elon Musk is not going to be good in that role. I give DOGE a few months before it fizzles.
I don’t think Vivek Ramaswamy ever really caught on with voters, and won’t catch on in the future. He’s just too vivacious, too talkative,, too little action. Elon Musk is talkative too, but he’s big on action too.
It’s interesting how your guest and you deem money the be all and end all to importance and influence. Spend some time outside the beltway. There are other drivers of behavior beyond a love of the $. Seriously.
The enervating tittle-tattle from the press has begun early.
