I really enjoy these Undercurrents shows. Some of the best “conversational” journalism out there, imo.
So far as Zuckerberg, and other tech barons, repenting their censorship ways goes, I’m deeply skeptical. I think they’re hedging their bets. They’ll keep right on censoring to placate the government of the day, but if public opinion changes they can always point to their recent mea culpas and say, Hey, I didn’t really want to do this but the government made me.
On a separate issue, I’m confused about access to Undercurrents. Emily plugs her show and it sounds like it has its own youtube channel, but I can’t find it. Some Undercurrents episodes appear on the Unherd channel, but not all. I find Undercurrents on the main Unherd webpage, but is there a separate site for Undercurrent episodes (plus all its comments)? Maybe an Unherd employee can answer that question.

This is an excellent show, love the long form discussion. A distinction needs to be made between environmental issues and climate. Many of the carbon reduction solutions are very harmful to the environment.
