SubscribeI’ve been a booster for Undercurrents since its inception, but this episode is noticeably below its usual standard, imo. The first ten minutes is a rant about the ineffectiveness of the FBI. It’s entirely conclusory and almost hysterical in tone.
A calmer presentation of the facts would have worked better, imo, and a willingness to allow viewers to draw their own conclusions.
I’m not sure what conclusions could be drawn other than the total incompetence of the local police and FBI response. Kudos to Emily for highlighting this sorry state of affairs..
By the way, did you see the video of the 66 year old (she looks 90) head of NOPD admitting that they had barriers to block cars from mounting the pavement but she didn’t know about them? But she had them installed the day after the attack. Unbelievable!
Has the video been removed? I keep getting an error message when I try to watch it.
I think so …or there would be more comments.
To J Bryant: I completely disagree. Your criticism is insubstantial and is also “conclusory and almost hysterical in tone”. People died and strong opinions from commentators are to be expected. Islamist terrorism is a horrible scourge around the world and must be addressed urgently and fully.
