As we approach the five year anniversary of the UK’s momentous vote to leave the European Union, UnHerd’s Freddie Sayers is joined by Yanis Varoufakis and Douglas Murray to assess whether the EU has done enough to deserve to survive. This is a discussion you won’t want to miss.
Yanis Varoufakis is a Greek economist and politician. He is Secretary-General of the Left-wing political party MeRA25, which he established in 2018. A former member of Syriza, he served as Greek Minister of Finance in 2015 under Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
Douglas Murray is a British political commentator and writer. In 2007, he created the Centre for Social Cohesion, which became a part of the Henry Jackson Society where, from 2011 to 2018, he was the associate director.
The discussion will be held on Zoom and we’ll be opening up the conversation to your contributions and questions after the panellists have spoken. Spaces are limited, so become a member today and reserve your ticket.
We very much hope to see you there!
