Gaza independents party confirms rise of UK sectarianism

To many Britons, the word “sectarianism” is associated with unfortunate parts of the world such as the Middle East, or, closer to home, Northern Ireland. The thought of homegrown sectarianism disfiguring politics on the mainland, perhaps for the first time since the 17th century, is a troubling one. Yet it may already be a reality which we have to confront.

The Gaza independent alliance — featuring four Muslim MPs elected to Parliament in July’s general election, as well as former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn — is reportedly looking to officially form and register as a political party. Since the election it has become symbolic of a new sectarian politics emerging in Britain, with campaign groups such as The Muslim Vote using Gaza to voice their disaffection with Labour for taking Muslim voters for granted.

Muslim sectarianism in Britain, of course, is far from new. It has its origins in the episode of Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses at the end of the Eighties, after which Islamism spread among Muslims in the UK. Indeed, the Gaza Five’s proposed new venture feels almost like a rerun of the Respect Party formed in the aftermath of the Iraq War — a ramshackle coalition of anti-imperialist Leftists and reactionary Muslims uniting against British foreign policy.

What is sectarian about this phenomenon isn’t the solicitude for Gaza. Instead, it is the prism through which it is seen. Palestine is increasingly regarded as a “Muslim issue” — despite an influential minority of Palestinians being Christians — rather than an Arab or a Third-World cause, as it might have been in previous generations. Attacks on Gaza are seen as an assault on the body of the ummah — the worldwide community of Muslims — which allows Islamists to masquerade their tendentious religious sectarianism as a noble political cause.

While the war in Gaza was the catalyst for these campaigns, it is by no means the only issue on the table for these communal politicians. The Muslim Vote, in its list of demands to Keir Starmer before the election, went beyond calling for cutting military ties with Israel and recognising Palestine to requesting “sharia-compliant pensions” and laws with an expansive definition of “Islamophobia”.

Independent MP Iqbal Mohamed this week challenged a Commons proposal to ban cousin marriage, while at the end of last month Labour’s Tahir Ali openly called for the reintroduction of blasphemy laws. In each case, the politicians used vague, “inclusive” language — emphasis on “the freedom of women” in the former case, and tackling “division and hatred” in the latter — so as to couch their views in respectability. Yet both Mohamed and Ali were advocating a sectarian position, no doubt because of the high proportion of Muslims in their constituencies who want their distinct interests represented in Parliament.

It would, however, be wrong to make Muslims the scapegoat for the new sectarianism. Conservative MPs such as Bob Blackman have openly courted the Hindu vote, and even pandered to Hindu nationalism. Likewise, if the coalition of Gaza independents resembles a politics of identity based on ethno-religious voting blocs among British Muslims radicalised by the Gaza war, then Nigel Farage’s Reform UK presages a parallel ethnic identitarianism among the white English population. Though its main figures are civic nationalists, albeit firmly assimilationist, Reform is clearly regarded as the party of the disaffected, culturally Christian white English, disillusioned by mass immigration and angered by events such as the grooming gang scandals.

This is part of a broader trend, in which politics is increasingly refracted through an ethnic and cultural prism to the point that it becomes a zero-sum game. Rather than representing an argument between different visions for how society should be organised to universal benefit, it relies on spokesmen claiming to be ventriloquists for different “communities”, who joust for resources and advocate only for those policies which fulfil the interests of their particular group. Sectarianism, long a corrosive force elsewhere, is increasingly gaining a foothold in British society.

As illustrated by Two Tier Kier wearing his poppy for some groups and not others. Disgraceful behaviour from someone who clearly has total contempt for the British people and their history.

Perhaps if it isn’t managed/paid out through banking systems that comply with the principles of Sharia and Islamic finance.

Investments in alcohol/pork/prostitution/ other non-islamic things. No different from eco-loons wanting non-fossil fuel investments or peaceniks not wanting to be involved with the arms trade. Everyone should just be obliged to make their own pensions investments with the option for government/your company to do it for you but you can’t then complain about what they do with it.

Easily if its funds are not restricted to Sharia compliant investments. There are absurdly detailed rules in Sharia investment screens about what percentage of a shopping centre’s rental revenues can arise from gambling and off licences before it cannot be invested in etc.
There is the massive pretence of avoiding the prohibition on usury by paying sums of money identical to what would have been interest as profit shares.
I’m only surprised that they haven’t developed a sideline of selling indulgences.
the Muslims obviously aren’t alone in this rank hypocrisy. I remember well being in an US hotel whose lifts stopped automatically at every floor so that the Jewish guests could use them on the sabbath by avoiding having to press a button.

No, the author doesn’t have the courage to face up to the fact that Islam is an irrational, inflexible, murderously intolerant supremacist religious ideology, so has to soften his stance with false equivalences.

I think as a ‘British Nigerian’ the author will know that political Islam is on a roll and will use any means necessary to move forward.

I’m puzzled.
How else can a ‘community of communities’ be democratically represented? After all, ‘ventriloquists’ for every other sort of community regularly appear on television to champion their community.
A ‘community of communities’ cannot retain a characteristic that in its nature it does not possess.

A multicultural society is a contradiction in terms, unless you regard society as being entirely distinct from culture. In other words, a legal structure entirely distinct from people.

You are correct. The term “multicultural society” is a contradiction in terms, a nonsense. What is described by the term is a “multicultural polity,” of which there have been many in history. Some examples spring to mind: Yugoslavia, the Habsburg Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Russian Empire, Czechoslovakia. There are two things to notice about multicultural polities: they must be under a strong repressive government if they are to hold together, and when that government weakens, they divide into their constituent parts. What nation would willingly invite colonization, division and dissolution?

Exactly this. I lived for many years in a much celebrated multicultural society, saw the faultlines, and have seen the cracks appearing. I came away with the belief that if your nation is relatively homogenous, there is no substantial benefit for deliberately changing that.

What’s that? Exotic cuisine? Oh, well then.

I’ve grown with Muslims in my family all my life. My cousins, and my neice and nephews. So I have nothing against the people, obviously. But god I hate Islam and everything about this crackpot, disgusting cult. I’ve done my homework for years, and daily I find new things in it that a beyond anything you could imagine. What you could get away by having a mental illness that convinced you you were communicating with the divine, and then the gall to continue that pretence for 20 years knowing you were conning everyone as you saw the power it brought, is comical.

I’ve listened to countless hours of Christian Prince, a Christian Arab who decided to study Islam to the level he can be a judge in a Sharia caught after suffering abuse from a Muslim teacher growing up. He holds 3-4 long live skype calls inviting any Muslim, the more famous the better, to debate him, and he decimates every single caller as he knows every line of their Quran and Hadiths. Whereas these people are just so scarily indoctrinated it’s unbelievable, and to listen to them say well ‘if the Quran/Hadith/Prophet/Scholar says that then I believe it’ about things like a woman being able to have a pregnancy of 20 years before giving birth, just speaks to how depraved humanity can be. Christian Prince is hilarious and has god-like intelligence, wit, skill and totally exposes Islam in such an entertaining, humorous way, and none of the famous Muslims out there conning ignorant people and converting them to Islam with their lies will dare debate the guy. He’s impossible to defeat because it’s demented when examined with critical thought and questioning.

They believe the most ludicrous stuff simply because their prophet told them, their family, their imams or their scholars told them. A man, their prophet, who tricked his first wife’s father into marrying them by getting him drunk and pretending he’d given his blessing but was too drunk to remember. Yet they celebrate him as the most honest and trust-worthy man ever of great character.

He sent his rag-tag bunch of social outcasts and criminals, who used to fight over his hair and toe-nail clipping, his spit, piss, and shit (seriously), as they genuinely believed it was holy, to go out robbing and caravans and killing people and giving him the majority of the spoils. But to them, he was a noble warrior.

He was meek and supplicant, peace loving and diplomatic when his cult was small and weak, but started killing everyone once he was powerful and rich. He once pardoned a man who stabbed an old women to death because she was bad mouthing the ‘Prophet’, so he told the man their was no punishment for him, God was cool. A control freak with more than a fair dose of every cluster B personality disorder.

He married a 6 year old at 52 and raped her at 9. Kept sex slaves, permitted his followers to also. As well as wife beating. Had over 11 wives, claiming god said anyone women he’s eye falls on he allowed to marry and she can leave her husband.

Tried to seduce the wife of his son while the son was away, and ended doing that as she left the son. Apparent he’d go and listen to the angel and the angel would tell him god gave him special permission to do what he wanted. and granted him permission to f every women he wanted. Convenient.

He used nothing but either fear, or promises of endless sex in paradise (and everything people in the desert could want), and a special place for people willing to fight and die for him. If you don’t say prayers before going the the toilet the devil will play with your a**s. Forget to praise god and his messenger before sex, the devil will wrap around your p***s and penetrate your wife. If you fart during prayer, it doesn’t count. The devil lives in your nostril in the morning, and you must peform wudu to cleanse it.

In heaven, you’ll get 72 virgin, their arse will be a mile long. You can go to a market and get any pornographic image you want. Your orgasms will last for 70 years. Your p***s will be endless. A women’s hymen will repair after every session, and return to being a virgins. You’ll be served by beautiful boy servants anything you want. Women’s skin will be so white it will be see-through (crazy but true. The guy was an absolute madman, surrounded by the most idiotic, but fanatic and violent Taliban types, so it spread). Oh an bananas, lots of bananas. Cretin.

There is so much more insanity. The fact that many Muslims truly think this religion is above the rest of humanity, the Kuffar; and the liberation of women in the West is degeneracy; that they truly believe society will better if replaced with Sharia law; believe they’re destined to fulfill the prophecy of Islam reaching every home and pursuing in larger than comfortable numbers; that they blindly follow Palestine as they are Muslim against Jews who they see as inferior and despise as the religion is all about domination; the calamity of the situation that so many have come to our country and caused ghettoes and their own parties; all that is horrifying beyond words. That it gets a pass because it’s a religion, and Muslims get treated like a different species to us, and not humans like everyone else, that need to be encouraged to get with the 21st century
This ‘political party’ should be banned. Shut down. If every minority acted like these deeply awful and odious people, and started their own splinter groups serving their own need, the country would just have no unity at all.

It was invented by an ignorant and illiterate camel driver, who hit upon the scam of cobbling together garbled fragments of Jewish, Zoroastrian, and early Christian texts he’d picked up from traders, plus local superstitions and bits he made up to justify his actions, to give him and his followers divine authority to satisfy their lust for wealth, power, and sex. That was its attraction then, and that’s its attraction to men now. You only need look at what he took as booty – women as sex slaves, children to be traded as slaves, plunder from his raids on camel trains and later military conquests – and the brutality, murder, and destruction he used to get it. It is madness that we give his incoherent, contradictory, and misogynist ramblings, and violent incitements to violence, ‘protected’ status.

Perfect. We are at war. It’s an internal one. They call it Jihad, as we know, but it’s a foreign concept to most of us, so the full weight of that fact and its implications is completely missed by most. We used to formal declarations of war, not internal, unstated ones.
Internally they are at war with us, in a way we’re not accustomed to, but damn well better recognize quick. We need an intelligent movement free from ‘Muslamic raygun” pissheads and skinhead racists, with people that can channel their rage through democratic means. They are already dominating us at 10 times less numbers than us. A studied showed in 200 the UK, France, Italy and others will simply effortless fall into the hands of Islam.

It’s encouraging to see a post here that acutely understands what Islam actually is, and the insanity and harm we our doing to ourselves allowing ourselves to be cowered by the politically correct nutters, Islamic bullies and degenerate cousin fuckers with genetic defects that ain’t right in the head, and need to get their own medicine.

Take the gloves ofs. Be proud of being ”Islamophobic” (intelligent enough to understand what Islam is), own it without missing a beat, and start giving it to these intellectual cretins and their prophet straight, taking precautions to be able to deal with any violence if needed and respond in kind, but rejecting this barbaric medieval evil and letting them know that. Be men to step and protect our people and way of life from this maniac cancer to society. Every word of you post is empirically true. And we are beholden to these people, and given them special status, simply for being credulous, brainwashed, and stupid enough to believe a deranged, immoral deviant peadophile who is everything you say, an utterly depraved psychopathic conman with the ability to lie of the top of his for decades and keep the complete stranglehold over his to team of Isis criminals.

We need rescind that privilege or giving them special status and find our balls again as a society, but in a way that is still descent and respectful for all the Muslims that don’t feel the need to dominate, or not integrate, and start the exodus from this religion. There is is no one I hate more than the Left for their moral relativist. Were Muslims white we’d entertain this evil.

Apologies for so many typos. Exactly. Male dominance and brute force over everyone weaker than them. Represents every base human impulse that seperate humans from animals and that Western countries have been on a long journey of evolution to overcome as a society. Paving the way, as it did, for the incredible anglosphere. For democracy, the rule of law, of science and reason over supersitition, gender equality, freedom for LGBT people, the incredible wealth attainable, the rise of the USA, and of Canada, Aus, NZ, putting people into space, aviation, so many things. As these people are hellbent on dragging us down to following lunatic teachings of the most grotty, backward fool you can imagine, who once, when bathing in a sewer trough filled with dead dogs and sanitary clothes and asked why he was doing that, told his simon-says simpleton followers that water is pure and he won’t get dirty. And that whoever comes first, the man or the woman, the baby will resemble them in sex. And babies are made from the sperm of men, and the sperm of women that come from their rib cage.
How dare these people do this. They all genuinely believe we are beneath them, their religion is the pinnacle of humanity, and they the exalted group above all others. And yet have to come to our countries to reach the pinnacle of the civilized world, and still disgrace it and demand its bends to them.
If Islam wasn’t extremely psychotically unhinged as to be bombing, stabbing, beheading, raping, and inflicting (or plotting to inflict) genocide across the globe everywhere it goes and its degenate followers applauding the 7th Oct openly, there is nothing that would provide more comedy gold than a skillful comedian, who have an endless source of material to choose from. There is a very good reason Islam kills anyone who mocks their prophet or religion.

It does not permit in nanometre of doubt or free thinking in the minds of its followers. It spread on the principles of ”become a Muslim or we’ll cut your head off and rape you wife and take your daughters as sex slaves. Oh, and if you leave, we’ll kill you”, and apparently god ordained them to do that. There is nothing more grotesque and hellish than this fraudelnt religion and the depraved psychopaths that become the leaders of the gang in this religion, like Sinwar, Khomeini, the new Syrian leader. They know that if they don’t criminalize any mockery of their prophet, people will take the piss, and it will sow doubt in minds.

I wish everyone would wake up, study this religion, and the enablement of from the Left, and gain the conviction and courage to stand up to the bullying and intimidation from them, and collectively just make clear its not happening. They better get in their box adopt our rules, or ‘f***’ off’.

You’re right. It’s deadly serious, and we need to take it as such. Ever since I came across the Left 20 ago, their love affair with violent Islam and their almost sexual arousal as a cuck submissive to Islam’s dominance, completely fawning and supine, I’ve known the most important thing I could do socially, was start some kind of unified resistence to Leftism and Islam.
I can’t be the only one that sits there feeling impotent and wanting to do something, but don’t know how? We’ll simply need to replicate all the things that made the Left able to become the dominant paradigm and destroy hundreds of years of advancement in a generation, and where 13 European countries will be Islamic in the next 200 year. England, Italy, France, Belgium, Sweden, among them.

We can do more than just go on marches and wave placards that simply get ridiculed. With a proper supply of info, and keeping eyes on all these people like Mossad does with their enemy, and letting people know who’s doing it in their local area and beyond, what they are doing, and all the ways they can take action and make themselves felt and heard, democratically. I’m sure there are way more iching to do that then there is of them. Way more men willing to come out and protect and even fight off the threat of fat bearded weirdos attempting to intimidate. Many skilled orators willing to speak out in debates, many legal minds, many writer and marketers willing to send out material. So many people that understood a long time ago, when they were bombing the tube, beheading soldiers, abusing kids, that is abomination, and the moral relativism of the Left is destroying us. So many people are furious.

In the Jihadi mind, and taught in the book, they are at war with everyone, unless they agree to live submissively and pay tax. We need to stop being fooled by the traitors in powers, research this (try Christian prince), and fully recognize it and mount a defense, otherwise they’ll continue to expand their number and power and create a parallel society, even more than now

Ideology, brainwashing, the lobbying of these horrendously delusional abduls, and human stupidity account for a lot of it. Ideology is simply a religion without a supernatural element, its a rigid Good V Evil and its thinking doesn’t go beyond that. It can hermitically seal the mind from reason and all evidence to the contrary. Two major Ideologies are driving our leaders and people, and arekilling us.
In terms of the ideologies, there is the Globalist one that keeps forcing mass immigration from the Muslim world on us for cheap labour and to increase tax and GDP, and just pure economic greed. And then, Marxism. Which due to its Internationalist beliefs, and its anti-Westernism (anti-Imperial and anti-Colonial), hate the nation state and have a contempt for patriots, and so think any patriot that wants to protect their country is racist, and they gravitate to an open-door immigration and they are against the nation state and have a utopian outlook. Plus the Oppressor/Victim group schema that they have going on, their romanticized notions that they being moral saviors and protectors, the Mother Teresa impulse, and which Islam is just the current minority group that has their favour (in the past, they used to be genuine about preventing persecution of minorities, but now it’s just a habit, and any minority group, and any criticism of it, is seen as ‘hate’, and they will not listen beyond that, as their put emotion first).

Leftist woke marxists don’t see people. They see categories. And they see Islam as a pet minority group they can use as some kind of pawn against their sworn enemy, the Right. Whom they are obsessed with demonizing and feeling superior to in that belief of Good V Evil, and them thinking they are De Facto the good side. There is no reason or evidence. It’s not based on a deliberate analysis of all the elements. They’ve been brainwashed, since human nature always has far more people prone to that, then leaders with the power and means to influence the masses. And all societies have made full use of that and perfected the art of keeping the masses compliant, via a very well known set of principles that anyone who has ever studied Influence, Persuasion, Propaganda, Copywriting will be a aware. Shockingly few do. And historically only the elite and the highest educated got that knowledge. You’ll get it in elite boarding schools from a young age, but not at a comp. And for good reason, as you can see with the MSM melt-down post election that social media has taken their power away, the power to control the herd.

Unfortunately they deliberately infiltrated all areas of Western governments, and since Marxism always relies on social engineering, brainwashing, propaganda, and the tactics for that are purely all about demonizing groups, they’ve managed to convince a whole group of people that ‘diversity’ is some kind of sacred thing, and that we can’t get enough of it. The West is inherently racist and oppressive and needs to rid itself of it’s whiteness (the fact it was majority white is some a stick they use to beat us as that must be racist. Insane).

They’ve literally made it law that you can’t criticize Islam, and convinced people that if you do so you’re racist. So there’s ideology, and the brainwashing that has been wrought on society order for that ideology to becoming enforced and dominant, which it has.

Here’s the human stupidity part. I always knew, but recently seen it confirmed, that the retarded thinking of Antifa types is that ”the Nazis criticized the Jews, who were a religion minority, therefore anyone who criticizes a religious minority is a racist”. The make the false equivelance of Islam being a helpless minority group under persecution like the Nazis were.
When you have complete carte blanche to dictate how people think, you can quickly get them to accept even the most extreme view. This is what all brainwashing does.

It was in Teresa May’s supposedly Conservative government, at a time when Jihadi Islam was peak, that they created an office that was basically a propaganda team of ‘communication specialists’ who were tasked with ensuring they maintain their control over the public that Islam is a victim group, because they didn’t want a backlash. The don’t want the public questioning the wisdom of the cramming Islamists into the UK non-stop after yet another act of war on our homesoil, that rightly should have seen a lot deported. There is a professional class whose whole vocation is to control the minds of the public to keep their agenda going. We don’t live in a free society. And this belief that it’s there job to control the narrative is not contained to a little building in Whitehall. It’s runs right through anyone involved in government. Only Trump tells the truth. Farage and a few in the UK to some degree, and look how they get depicted.

They are always far more concerned with phantom ‘far-right’ than Muslim gangs raping kids for decades with impugnity, or blowing kids up.
Plus they have all these Jihadi funded Muslim organizations that blatantly support terror, want Sharia, don’t feel British, and engaged in duplicity and talking out both sides of their mouth to our leaders and bending their ear and gaining complete compliance and primary consideration in how these atrocities are responded to. It actually has a word in their religion, Taqqiya, since their leader was a slimy worm that made agreements, told his followers to, and then as soon as they could, break them, and kill everyone and chop their heads of. The religious obligation to lie.
And so we have these slimeball ‘Muslim organizations playing at being concerned citizens, and its only because in their mind there can be no criticisim of Islam, and its their job to defend its honour. It’s perfect. It’s beautiful. It’s the ideal way of life from God himself, as taught by the greatest man ever, Muhammad (a Hitler type only with added evil of being a rapist peadophile. And so that’s shows the twister mind and the delusion. They can’t see anything bad, as they’ve been indoctrinated 5 times a day since birth to believe that shit). They don’t care about the tragedies, they only care how it reflects on them, and they know how to manipulate useful idiot woke Leftists. And they only need to claim one word – Islamophobia, and these daft middle-class white morons with their white guilt and fanatical ideology will do everything in their might to defend them and come to their aid. And that means f*****g the rest of us over, and suppressing our voices. Persecuting and even imprisoning anyone who opposes this hideous religion, even trying to get them hurt of potential killed.

I said this all to Tommy when we had a lock-in after my sister’s wedding, as we moved in the same circles then, being from Luton and around the same age. I didn’t know he started the EDL, and said I didn’t agree with the English bent and who it would attract most, but knew the disaster of what was to come with the alliance of radical Marxist ideology that Labour and Con have imbided. I could write a book on all the examples and with all the evidence for that, I’m not just throwing terms around because I oppose them. the ideology of the Left is the far Left radical Marxist ideology of fanatically anti-Western ‘revolutionaries’. This was 15+ years ago. He agreed the EDL attracted the wrong people and was a PR catastrophy, and left a little later. And they’ve done everything to destroy him, from the top down. Prison officers putting him in rooms with 5/6 Muslims to be beaten while inside. Legal warfare. Destroyed his family. Recently doxxed his family on holiday and gave away his location. Charged him for hitting a peadophile at a waterpark for groping his daughter. They’ve just jailed him for two years.
It hard for decent people to fathom how evil things are in politics and public life. We sit down and get taken in by politicians earnest speeches and they sound humane enough. But since the BBC became a far-Left propaganda outlet instead of more genteel and honest broadcaster, the state ideology has been one that is psychopathic. It’s psychopathically indifferent, and actively seeks to destroy anyone that doesn’t share it. And I’ve always recognized that.

Tommy is just a visible example of how the state, and the Left treat all of us. It you want to know how the state indocrinates the public, puts the fear of god into them being taken as ‘racist’ or ‘Islamophobe’, you just have to watch and listen how the media portrayed him, the tactics talk shows used to create 99 to 1 hostile crowd where they were all allowed to attack, and see the invective and demonization. They do the same thing to all of us. Ideology, brainwashing, human stupidty. Plus the Jihadis and Wahabis (the most strict from of Burkha wearing Islam), funded by rich oil sheiks from the middle-east to do exactly what Marxism did, infiltrate from within, under a democratic and friendly face, but ruthless in advancing its ideology to the detriment of the rest of us. They just found the perfect enabler to their aims in the Left (in both Labour and the Cons).
I’ve studied it for decades. I’ve seen a lot the things I’ve talked about as being the reasons. But ultimately I still do not know what causes such a despicable impulse with these people where every time an atrocity happens by that backward, ugly, depraved evil religion, they act like Islam is the victim and seek to pacify and reassure the ‘Muslim community’ that ”don’t worry, we don’t blame you. We know that’s not Islam, and any criticism is far-right”. I mean there has to be a point where too much evil is done where they’re able to see through their brainwashing and say ”No. f**k this”. But it never comes. And that baffles me. I have no answer. It’s like how did Nazi Germany convince it’s people it could take on the world, win, and kill all Jews? Crazy
We just live in a society where the Narcissists, the Psychopaths, the Corbyn-like ‘Marxist Revolutionary’ wannabes, predatory capitalists, and religious nuts have destroyed everything that the West evolved to be, and totally dishonored out greatest generation and the incredible society they fought two world wars defending, and a cold war attempting to stop Marxism. A time when decency did exist. It’s not that time anymore.

Ralph, this is Britain. Get used to it. White Christian British is main cuture here, not a sect ffs. How you’ve somehow managed to segue from the criticism of this abhorrent and disgusting advent in politics of Muslim MP’s using their position to advance their religious beliefs, to then taking aim at Brits who happen to white and culturally Christian is pathetic. You cowardly man. You’re nerve couldn’t take the pressure of criticizing Islam, and so you had to pre-ejac and abort mission and start taking shots that you knew would give the Left a hard-on, getting Farage and Reform in there, the Tories, white Christian men. Just pathetic.

We have no equivalent group that have come here from other nations refused to integrate, created parallel ethno-religious ghettoes (hovels in many cases since they don’t care about the wider area and are here for what they can get financials and otherwise despise the non-Muslim way of life), and then started demanding this country start making laws based around their religion. Reform have not don’t that.

How dare you suggest otherwise and attack those sick of the destruction of their country due to the fact we’ve bought so many in that will never integrate, they’re voted their own people to serve their own interests, coming from Luton, they all do, and play the system for everything it’s worse in a great many cases. One minute you’re reading an article that’s talking facts, the next minute, the brainwashing kicks in, the fear of being called an Islamophobe, or the next T.Robinson, and you turn insane and start talking madness because you know white British men are sake to attack.

Jesus Christ. Britain will never be the same. It’s gone. You can’t criticize Islam without people shitting a brick, but you sure as hell can take aim and most white British people that have open their arms and welcomed immigrants in, only to be shit on by countless immigrants who do nothing but disrepsect and denigrate our culture and demand we change ours to suit them. They just want current situation to be abated, or remedied. They are not in anyone like for like with what these MP’s are doing.

I’ve rarely read an article so ridiculous and foolish in my life. This in UnHerd mate, you should have continued being genuine and pointing out the disgusting Islamification of these cheeky bastards and their horrifying self-centredness and disrespect and refusal to respect the country that’s given a far better life than they’d get back home. That’s according to Pakistani Muslim Brits as sick of these disgusting people as we are, because not all Pakistani Muslims are like the men in this article.

They get into the mother or parliaments, a place of amazing history and prestige, and they seek to pass laws that disenfranchise the real Brits who value the freedom of speech, or what’s left of it, and criminalize them for critizing their basket case religion, or whatever the otherone was

You need to serious up your game. You’re were doing a great job until you lost your integrity to carry on telling the truth.

Reform UK presages a parallel ethnic identitarianism among the white English population
Something has gone a bit awry over the past 30 years if English people in England have become an ‘ethnic identity’. Growing up in the 60s and 70s I never thought of myself as ‘white British’, or needed to announce myself as such. There was very little in British society to compare that category to.

Muslim sectarianism in Britain, of course, is far from new. It has its origins in the episode of Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses at the end of the Eighties, after which Islamism spread among Muslims in the UK.

If I may speak on a subject of which I am no means an expert –
Muslim Sectarianism, of which the Satanic Verses controversy is a late and accidental flourish, has a long and well documented history in the continuing British Polity. What is now called ‘Islamism’ is a child of our own history and is fed by persistent, enduring, and as yet unresolved questions inherent in our own political history. If only we knew our own history.
Its origins lie not in Yorkshire in the 1980s but in the Muslim States and Principalites of the British Raj of the 19th and early 20th Centuries. Sepcifically in the Deobandi and Khilafat movements which emerged within the Darul Uloom Deoband seminary in response to a perception of increasing Liberalism and ‘Western’ secular governance in British Hindoostan in the wake of the defeat of the Indian Mutiny in 1866.
The Islamic cultural and religious revival, particularly in the Oudh, Sindh, Punjab and the area straddling the Durand Line in North West Hindoostan loomed large in the minds of our lawmakers in our Great Grandsires day. It merely returns now, after the Post War resettlement, as a central question of British Islamic life once more.
The struggle between secularity and Islamic tradition is well recorded part of our own nations history. In 2024 almost half of British Mosques are part of the Deobandi tradition. Forged in the aftermath of the Mutiny.
What do people think The Empire was? It was and is what Britain is. It’s questions persist as our questions. Clive, Havelock, and Napier still stand in Trafalgar Square. Does the average Cockney (or Civil Servant) know why they stand there? I suspect the average British Punjabi does.
It is this tendency we perceive in the ‘Gaza Bloc’ of Muslim MP’s whose real genesis lies in the British Indian politics of the Raj, not Yorkshire or even the modern Middle East.

I think that modern day Pakistani religious extremism has much more to do with Zia’s attempt to legitimise his rule after murdering Bhutto by formenting the religious schools.

It depends which era you perceive us to be inhabiting. If one takes the view that history broke in half in 1946 and nothing that went before adheres to anything that came after then you may be right. I do not hold that view. I believe that Britain’s past informs her present, without an arbitrary mid 20th century amputation.
I note that Zia Al Haq was born into a British Indian Army family and attended St Stephens College in Delhi and after that he was commisioned into the 12th Lancers and swore his Oath to King George VI, just like our grandfathers did.
His father, Muhammad Akbar Ali, despite having worked in Army General Headquarters in Delhi was known for his religiosity, even earning an honorific title as a scholar of the Koran. The enduring tension between Muslim piety and secular loyalty was, and remains, the central riddle in British Islamic life.
We form our own judgement on the worthiness or sense of the question but we cannot deny its historic legitimacy,

No, ‘Islamism’ goes back to the very origins of the religion. Throughout its history, whenever the leadership, practices, or culture of Islam softened, hard line ideologues and sects arose to drive it back, by force, to its fundamentally ‘pure’ origins. The Kharijites were among the first. The so-called ‘golden age of Islam’ was brought to an end by another. The most recent are the Wahabbi, Deobandi, and Salafi, along with the Iranian Shi’a Twelvers, using oil wealth and modern global communications to impose their ideologies wherever they can. There’s a connection of sorts with the British Empire, but the numerous Islamic empires, including the Mughals in India, were far more influential.

Indeed, the ‘return to purity’ motif is a central one in Islam and you sketch its history very well.
I limit myself to pointing out that the ‘Gaza Independents’ inhabit a strain of that tendency with a very long and well understood history which emanates from within the continuing British Polity.
Deobandism, like Boko Haram in former British Nigeria Colony, began as (among other things) a reaction to secular-materialist rule – by full British Subjects within the British Empire.
Its continuation in Britain itself by the grandchildren of those Indian, British Subjects, must be understood in that context.
It didn’t start in Yorkshire in the 1980s, or with Salman Rushdie or the Satanic Verses. Its roots are very deep in our history and point to one of the latent contradictions in our multi-ethnic poly-religious state – such as our Grandfathers would have recognised.
Gaza may be a spur to the movement but the genesis of this particular branch lie within our own story and thus our own comprehension and, hopefully, our own resolution.

You are right. I don’t know why there are so many downvotes. If anyone cares to read eighteenth and 19th century Indian history you have to realise that a lot of Islamic fundamentalism was rooted in the subcontinent with the Deobandi, Wahabi and Faraizi movements.
In fact the entire Islamic rule of 1000 years in India was largely violent. The so- called ” mystic” Sufis were violent too.

Thank you for saying so.
I can only assume it is because we are at a stage in the sectarian degringolade when an effort to explain is as good or as bad, in some peoples eyes, as an effort to justify.
My grandmother was born in Quetta while my Great Grandfather was engaged in dealing with these same elements, more or less, on the North West frontier of British India. To frame it as somehow a late and inexplicable intrusion into our national life is to falsify history.

There is definitely a link between Islamism in the UK today and the Pakistan movement of the Muslim League throughout the 1930s and 1940s in India. As someone researching the era it is fairly evident that sections of the colonial establishment were for complex reasons supportive of it.

Whilst depressing, this does have the benefit of rendering these religious bigots electorally irrelevant…and undermining the grievance-driven left. May also look like a real error if the reconfiguration of the right allows them to secure the seats potentially available to them, in a few years time. Reform came second to Labour in 89 seats, the Tories were second to Labour in over 200. If the polls keep moving in their direction that’s a hell of a coalition if Farage and Badenoch can count…

“The thought of homegrown sectarianism disfiguring politics on the mainland, perhaps for the first time since the 17th century, is a troubling one.” You’ve got to be kidding! Here in Edinburgh, John Cormack was the councillor for South Leith until 1962. He was elected on an anti-Catholic ticket and rode in a van daubed with the slogan “No Popery”. In 1935, he led thousands of protestants in a riot to protest about a Catholic meeting in Morningside.

Reform UK is “culturally Christian” how, exactly? 60 per cent of its MPs voted for assisted suicide, a higher proportion than Labour. All of the Gaza Independents voted against it.

In case some have forgotten, this is an historically, currently and, one would hope, from the perspective of maintaining traditional British values for long into the future, by far a white majority country, so to describe Reform in those terms misses the obvious point that ANY of the parties appealing to the mainstream of voters, unlike The Gaza party, are, by dint of this, appealing in the most part to a “culturally Christian white English” electorate. That is not sectarianism, it is the norm. It represents the culture, traditions and standards by which incomers should be judged with regard how well they have integrated into British society. We should roundly reject the idea that the sect that is the quite small minority of the population that follows and lives Islam has a cultural equivalence to that of the native white population whose ethos, the essence of Britishness, our British values, are based upon Christian tradition, as to do so is to commit cultural suicide. To quote:
“Not all cultures are equally valid…Our country is not a dormitory for people to come here and make money. It is our home….Those we choose to welcome, we expect to share our values and contribute to our society.” Kemi Badenoch
This is a view that must be self-evident to all but the most progressive, culturally blind lefties, which is why Corbyn is with the Muslims.

It wouldn’t be funny if this type of identity-driven sectarianism—breaking identities and creating mini feudal – love tribes—was not exactly the product of the British Empire. Let’s call it what it is. It’s hard not to laugh when we remember that the Sykes-Picot Agreement was designed to create exactly this dynamic of create tension within, teaching people to do exactly what they are doing now.
I think it’s time we own our stupidity and evolve. However, we cannot continue to spend all our time putting out fires we created ourselves. Colonization isn’t just a thing of the past—it’s here, now using our own old tools to our faces!

Sad and disturbing, if predictable. Another series of predictions I will make here. Once these islamists coalesce under a formal party, they will of course stand candidates at the next election in at least three dozen seats, and observing the monolithic way the islamic communities have voted in the past, it looks to me they could easily upend Labour’s grip in those and in many other seats. They could end up with 15+ seats. The first consequence is this spells big trouble for Labour. Imagine for example in and around central London the islamic communities there flip enmasse to the new vehicle. Well, they wouldn’t win seats but Labour would be at serious risk of losing upwards of a dozen seats. Another distasteful consequences I can see arising is that for example the Indian communities, although more dispersed would put serious pressure on the mainstream parties to in effect sell themselves as a block of votes for preferential treatment. Because a dozen+ Islamist MPs under the banner of a single party would wield significant influence, and I can’t imagine other ethnic communities would just sit there and take it – they would quickly grow resentful.

The Brits are indigenous of course, not a minority ethnic group. Except in London. And Birmingham. And Manchester. And, almost, Oxford and Cambridge….

And that’s the point isn’t it. They have been remarkably mild mannered about their country being taken from under their noses, but all the signs are they are about to get hopping mad.

It’s often forgotten that we have, recently, had a sectarian political group holding sway over British politics. Teresa May’s ‘Confidence and supply’ arrangement with the DUP gave that little Protestant band influence out of all proportion to its representation in Parliament.

So, who are the worthy! souls not angered by the Grooming gang scandals, only the vilest of the vile would not be..

They were not scandals, they were organised Pakistani gangs of rapists preying on young girls, because the ideology openly pushes that sort of thing, read the book and weep at what progressivism has done to the children of this country.

That they were aided and abetted by Labour administrators (Starmer comes to mind) and senior police officers, disgusting beyond belief

The UK is no longer (and has not been for a very long time) a ‘nation’ in the true sense of the term. Its citizens have been have been bullied and brainwashed into loathing their identity, history and culture, and mindlessly welcoming and celebrating alien identities, histories and cultures.
I see no cause for a hopeful future.
