Hamsa is not the sharpest tool in the box, but surely even he can see that proscribing EDL won’t make a blind bit of difference. There are going to be more of these attacks and people are going to become increasingly angry at a governing class whose warmongering (yes, that’s you, Yvette) and failure to manage the borders which, after all, is the first duty of government, created the problem in the first place and whose complacency about the downstream consequences for our poorer communities becomes daily more palpable.
Kumbaya and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ ain’t going to do the trick for much longer.
Had a bunch of Hamas supporters angry about Gaza been lobbing bricks at the Police and raiding a local shop in the vicinity where murdered children lived you’d be apoplectic and rightly so.
Be careful what you excuse.
Gaza is not in Britain.
You don’t find White Christians lobbing bricks because of what’s happening to Christians in Nigeria, Egypt and Pakistan, do you?
That’s a very bad and dishonest analogy – even by your not very impressive standards.

‘Yousaf argued: “It is time we took on the English Defence League and the evil ideology that drives them.”’
‘By that time, hundreds of people – mostly young men – had begun making their way to Southport mosque for an 8pm far-right demonstration that had been advertised on social media.
Merseyside police had picked up intelligence that supporters of the English Defence League would be attending, even if the far-right group has not existed as an on-the-ground force for years.’
Why is Yousaf jumping to conclusions.
Even the guardian says they haven’t existed as an on the ground force for years. Jumping to the lengths of prescribing them a terrorist group when they haven’t even been around for years is ridiculous.
I hope they have gone through all those pro Palestinian protest groups with a fine tooth comb. You know the ones that sympathise with raping murdering actual terrorist types. I wonder how many of them are prescribed as terrorists.
Tommy Robinson isn’t even in the country at the moment according to the press.
Describing EDL supporters as evil is the equivalent of Hillary Clinton referring to Trump supporters as deplorable but even more rude and ridiculous.
The government that allowed mass immigrantion, illegal immigration, covid n*zi lockdowns and bankrupted the country with energy sanctions is way, way more evil than anything the edl could come up with.
They may want to consider that the people rioting in the street are p*ssed off for a reason.
So on your last point – rioting, lobbing bricks at the Police, raiding a local shop, all ok if you’ve got a ‘reason’?
Be careful what you imply justifiable. It’ll get used by others with same argument
Allow me to attach a disclaimer, how silly of me, I had forgotten my disclaimers:
Just because people have many reasons to be p*ssed off does not mean that rioting is OK.
I did not imply anything, nor was it my intention to imply anything, merely made an observation.
If you are p*ssed off I suggest writing to your local mp, words are better than bricks.
If you support the EDL you can be safe in the knowledge that the government will do absolutely everything in its power to persecute you and label you a terrorist nutter while illegal immigrants are free to roam to the beaches of the south coast unchecked.
Disclaimer: the part about EDL supporters being persecuted and labelled as terrorist nutters is a joke. It is not a fact. It is not my opinion. It is a joke.
Your primary concern after the murder of three young girls is that someone on the internet is angry about it?
Someone posting here has their priorities wrong, and isn’t B Emery.
You’ve destroyed their wealth, hijacked their political representation and wrecked their public services. It’s not a question of what is justifiable, but of what is inevitable. The rest of us do not want to wind up on the wrong end of a pitchfork because you cannot control your greed.

Better headline: Racist Muslim extremist seeks to criminalise ordinary white people for noticing things
Hamza is a racist. He’s using the spectre of the EDF, itself a racist fiction because some ordinary white people have no other outlet than EDF, to criminalise ALL white people for noticing anti-white racism.
EDF aren’t ordinary white folks
You’re quite right! They’re French.

First, there is no EDL. Second, Humza is a racist that complains about there being “too many white people” in positions of power in 96% white Scotland. Third, maybe you should try listening to people’s concerns instead of trying to silence them.

I dont remember Labour or SNP calling for the pro Gaza groups to be banned after their riots.
And EDL doesn’t exist so proscribibg them would just be gesture politics. And the gesture is, again, that the Cruelites don’t care about the views of native Brits, especially when they are working class deplorables.

I read that the majority of the white kids who report depression are middle to upper class kids. This makes sense because these kids are protected from any negative experiences by their parents. In a word, they are coddled. However, parents can’t control what their child faces in the world of social media. Thus, these kids—mainly girls—aren’t equipped to deal with negative experiences. And this is why they suffer from a host of mental illnesses. Kids don’t socialize in person with other kids. I saw it when I was teaching. Years ago, before cell phones, kids came to class talking and laughing. They socialized with other kids at lunch. My last few years of teaching my class was dead quiet. They were staring at their phones and it didn’t stop when class started. Teachers on campus were losing their minds and the administrators did nothing. I even had girls run out of class crying over something on social media . My husband was killed two days before the new semester. We were going to retire at the end of the year. I quit caring about the phones and went through the motions. My students quietly did nothing, and I failed them. If we don’t do something about kids’ use of social media our children will have more and more mental health problems. Parents can fix all the boo boos and scraped knees, but they can’t compete with social media.
What is the current kill ratio in the UK of radical islamists vs the EDL I wonder?
The only reason the EDL enjoy any support at all is because our MSM and the authorities keep ignoring very clear and obvious issues.

If you look at how UK defines a terrorist organisation you can see where Yousaf coming from – use of violence, damage to property etc designed to influence Govt. But to be proscribed the Govt also has a ‘proportionality’ test and key elements of that are about the threat abroad to British Nationals. So the notion may fail on that.
Nonetheless the EDF seeks to use the threat of violence, albeit it seems well populated with drunken hooligan types who took chance to rob a local Southport shop at same time. What a bunch of lowlife. Same type of yobs who urinated on Police memorial in Whitehall. I’d personally just keep exposing them to sunlight and their idiocy will undo them. And where’s Robinson? Run away hasn’t he?
I think some of them just been sent to jail for a long stretch. But not sure they’d committed violence.
Would you concur a similar ‘stretch’ appropriate for those lobbing bricks at the Police?
Nonetheless the EDF seeks to use the threat of violence
They don’t exist and you can’t spell their name anyway. Conspiracy theorist or what?

I doubt an EDF banner is required for ordinary people to protest. That protest is only going to grow unless the government starts to take more seriously the fears of the population.

Looking at the video of the rioting in Hartlepool it appeared to be an ad hoc multi racial, all age, male and female collection of locals. Stupid, destructive, wasteful and hateful but terrorists? The police set dogs on the rioters at one point. The hate and fear on the police side was palpable and the only serious violence from the crowd came after the dog attack not before. There is much fear on the streets. Facial recognition, police dressed like robo-cops and oppressive surveillance, will only make things worse. In Leeds the police ran away from the Roma, where were the dogs and the beatings? With the stop oil hooligans the police often seem to facilitate the protest, and with the Hamas supporters there seems to be be an agreement that they can go on week after week in city after city. It’s a very odd. And now the Southport suspect is named a picture of him as an angelic child is circulated as his default image, all media in lockstep once again, an image his recent conduct and court sketch seem to belie. What is going on?

Most definitely implied and everyone knows that. Proper Faragism.

Being pro Gaza isn’t an organisation as such. It’s just a view. More difficult to proscribe that.
