Joe Biden can’t afford to give black voters more reasons to hesitate. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) emerged yesterday as a critic of the President’s Israel policy, saying in a statement to Reuters that he must “draw the red line and indefinitely end the shipment of all weapons and artillery to the state of Israel and other states that supply weapons to Hamas and other terrorist organizations”.
“It is imperative,” added the statement, “that the violence that has claimed so many civilian lives immediately stop.”
Biden is currently in a statistical dead heat with Donald Trump, and this autumn’s election hinges on his ability to maintain high levels of support from the Democratic Party’s key constituencies — including black and young voters. The President needs these blocs to remain Democratic, of course, but he also just needs them to turn out (and not for third parties).
His campaign said as much this week, telling Reuters, in the article’s words, that they’re “not as concerned that black voters will shift toward Trump as they are that too many of them may sit out the election due to lack of enthusiasm”. But a combination of marginal gains for Trump and dips in African American turnout could be enough to sink Biden. Swing states which matter for the Electoral College such as Michigan and Pennsylvania are peppered with college towns and urban centres, often providing Democrats with a counterbalance to Trump-friendly rural areas.
Just this week, the Washington Post reported on a new poll which found that “black Americans’ desire to vote in this year’s election is down sharply compared with four years ago.” It continued: “That drop in interest was sharpest among younger black people compared to other age groups, with 41 percent of those aged 18 to 39 saying they’re ‘absolutely certain to vote’ — down from 61 percent in June 2020.”
A recent Politico story headlined “Biden’s black voter troubles are setting off alarm bells” noted that “an April Wall Street Journal poll of seven swing states found that 30 percent of Black men were either ‘definitely or probably going to vote’ for former president Donald Trump — a jump from the 12 percent of Black men who supported Trump nationwide in 2020.” Even sceptical analysts concede some portion of young black men seem to be moving towards the GOP.

Simple. Hamas hands back the surviving hostages — the ones they haven’t murdered or raped to death in their tunnels — and Israel will back off. But if course, that isn’t what this statement is really about. It’s just more silly woke people, activists and airhead liberals being completely manipulated by Hamas propaganda and backing Hamas’s desired outcomes.
Don’t forget the influence of Farrakhan and the “Nation” of Islam bigots. They’ve been playing the long game…
The NAACP doesn’t give a sh*t about advancing anything but its own exi$tence, which has been totally unnecessary for decades. They’re bandwagon-hopping onto the wrong vehicle: the young people they claim to “fight” for are climbing aboard the Trump Train.
The NAACP is led by professional grievance-mongers. Their support of Hamas is based on their hatred of whites, a category that Jews now happen to fall under.
