SubscribeColorful interview. Mamet doesn’t pull punches, esp. with regard to the current Jewish-American experience. I, for one, never read Ardent, till last year, and I was poorer for it; the Jewish attempt at a diagnosis of what went wrong in the 20th century was, I think, largely obliterated by Hollywood which opted for merely dehumanizing the enemy. It has left a terrible void in understanding, effectively camouflaging the same totalitarian pit for future generations to fall into.
Governor Abbot of Texas is a great man. He is standing between a president who refuses his duty to enforce the law and the safety of the people of Texas. His actions to send migrants to the safe Democrat ruled cities is the best idea I ever heard of. Let Democrat eat the garbage that they sent to Texas. Their voters may revolt. The Supreme court was on sound constitutional ground when they stopped Texas from interfering with migrants. It’s a federal prerogative. Biden has, however, willfully refused to carry out his sworn duty to enforce Federal law. The constitution’s remedy for this is impeachment. This, however, takes a 2/3 vote of the Democratic controlled senate and would give us K Harris, another Woke Democrat and likely M Obama next year when Trump loses. The law still not enforced. We now have a civil war in the border states. Texas has no choice but to rebel. Will the US Army shoot at the Texas national guard? It may come to this. I wish MAGA had chosen Abbot instead of the senile Trump as nominee. Trump has great policy but is himself a garbage person. He will lose when Obama replaces his beard Biden with Michell Obama at the Democratic convention. Biden’s cabinet is loyal to Obama, not Biden. The only reason it has not yet happened is that Obama does not want K Harris as incumbent president in the next election.

-Now THAT is an interesting idea. One might wonder if the RNC and Abbot are strategizing along this thinking and are simply saving it for ’28.
Very much enjoyed the interview with Mamet. Hope there will be more movies produced like “Sound of Freedom”.
Interesting interview. David Mamet has strong views, but he’s still thoughtful about them. I learned from his words, which is unusual.
David Mamet says quite a few things that make sense including some aspects of Trump policies. But then he contradicts himself when he talks about following the rule of law. Because no one has done more to pervert the course of justice than Trump. As for Flo Read to suggest Trump is actually more articulate than his predecessors – heck even allowing for “W” – makes one wonder which planet she inherits.
Biden’s job is literally to enforce the law, including, importantly, border law, which he is not doing, knowing that the Democrats will not punish him. Please inform us what Trump did as President that approaches that level of venality? And please, none of the “Russian Collusion” crap.
His entire career is an epitome of corruption, venality and trying to
pervert the exercise of law. If you need to ask that question it is no wonder you think he is such an upstanding character!
Again, what did Trump do as President that approaches the ineptitude of Biden? Here’s a reminder, under Trump we had peace, secure borders, strong economy,…etc. Biden? Um no. You may not like his style (I don’t either, honestly), but his message has consistently been spot on.
I agree with you – Flo exposes herself as having bias mirroring main stream left media. Trump is comical, but for very different reasons. And Mamet ties himself in knots over policies mixing sense with contradiction. A pandering interview of little value.
lol i love the way she said i ve not seen it then says well this and that,watch it and then say. So do not comment. This is a first rate movie the likes of Srepico i think this is a great forum and a site like the guardian used to be 50 years ago,( not now where i used to see both sides of the debate )and you unfortunately “well ive not seen it it but its far right “really a great movie
