  1. Advocating for the Executive to defy the orders of the Judiciary is not a conservative position. Conservatism rests on preserving the separation of powers and the checks and balances between the three branches of government. With regard to judicial rulings, we’re going to win some and lose others. Let’s not blow up the system just because we lose a court case that we disagree with. The left has been undermining the legitimacy of the courts for decades. The conservative position is to promote legitimacy. Toying with the idea of defying the courts does the opposite.
