Professor Avi Loeb on why he risked his reputation to study UFOs
UnHerd’s Florence Read speaks to former Chair of Astronomy at Harvard Prof. Avi Loeb about his most recent report on UFOs.

I did not listen – I had hoped a truncated transcript would be there as is usual.
As some one who has spent a great deal of time in weird places I can say – The reality the normal people believe is the Real Reality is merely some very small part of the Actual Reality.
No idea of UFOs, but there is much more out there than is encountered in a normal, urban, life of constant bombardment of the banalities of secular existence – of TV and shallow education, and social media, hollow and dreary pleasures, and of the secular mundanity of humanism….

haha, what does a sheep know of a sailing ship?

What a great and interesting interview. Thank you for taking UnHerd in a slightly different direction for this one!

The Prof might not like it, but I enjoyed the Sci Fi. What harm is there in looking.

I wonder what “artificial” means.

Dear Florence, thank you so much for this piece of work. I really enjoyed listening your conversation with professor Avi Loeb. Very refreshing and stimulating to hear that he is not only looking for the existence of extra terrestrial life with a true, objective and humble spirit of science, i used to crave for, but the man has an understanding of the wrongs in Academia of today. I just wish that humanity can get ready to welcome a possible ET with Avi Loeb’s attitude and spirit.
