UnHerd marked International Women’s Day with an all-women panel for the weekly podcast. Ayesha Hazarika was joined by journalist and broadcaster Rachel Johnson; Hannah Peaker, Chief of Staff at the Women’s Equality Party; and UnHerd’s capitalism editor, Charlotte Pickles.
The 30 minute podcast kicks off with a discussion on #IWD2018 – is it virtual signalling and too commercialised, or an important spotlight on the continuing fight for equality? Not everyone agrees.
The panel also discussed the stories they feel are going underreported – including banking reform, polygamy and Amazon’s Alexa – and named their heroes and villains. For Rachel, her hero and villain are the same person.
